AgriWheel: Open Big Single Gates Fast & Easy.

AgriWheel: Open Big Single Gates Fast & Easy.

AgriWheel Automatic Gate Kits, the unique gate system that opens bigger gates faster than all other traditional systems on the market.

Why do we put handles at the opposite end from the hinge?
Simple!
That's why AgriWheel moves the gate from the easy end!
AgriWheel is powered by a low voltage motorized wheel at the latch end of the gate, allows us to open bigger, single gates easily & quickly with minimal power consumption, whilst still locking the gate shut when closed.
The 12v DC motorized wheel assembly floats using a simple suspension arm system allowing us to work over any surface with a rise and fall of 12 inches in ground height. AgriWheel will fit to any existing single gate.
Benifits include working fully through power cuts, charging even the most remote location using solar power, or for other locations, using cheap and safe low voltage chargers.
Nearly all other gate automation systems in the world operate from the hinge end of the gate, AgriWheel works with physics, not against it,it moves the gate from the latch end, the result is that it opens bigger gates far quicker than the others!.

AgriWheel has been on the market since approximately 1990 (but was not suitable as DIY) the design rights have been owned by Ultra Secure Ltd for since 2007 who have now re-designed the system to suit DIY installations whilst still keeping the obvious benifits.

Please see a list of questions to help you understand the benifits of AgriWheel, and to help you decide which system would suit your requirements!

Q: Do you currently have (or plan to have) an existing single gate!
A: If you have a single gate of over 10 feet (3.3 meters) in length, the AgriWheel would be a good choice of automation, if you have a single gate of over 12 feet (4 meters) AgriWheel will be a very good choice of automation, if you have a single gate of over 16 feet (5 meters) AgriWheel would be a vital choice of automation, for gates below 10 feet (3 meters) AgriWheel wouldn't be required unless you need a solar powered option.

Q: How wide is your single gate!
A: Please see above.

Q: Is the ground level within 12 - 18 inches rise and fall along the gates opening arch!
A: AgriWheel can work with a rise and fall of between 12 to 18 inches of ground varience, after this you would need to do some basic ground work to remove high spots, or raise extremely low areas.

Q: We have a gravel drive, will AgriWheel operate in these conditions!
A: Yes AgriWheel is fine in most types of gravel, in extremely deep gravel it may be necessary to build a tiny track using damp cement, and quashed gravel, but this is very rare.

Q: How far is the nearest mains power supply to the location of the gate!
A: AgriWheel is operated on battery power, you can charge it using a plug in transformer or a solar panel, as a general rule power located within 100 meters would be a plug in charger application, after this solar power becomes more cost efficient.

Q: Do we need an electrician!
A: There are no mains electrics, no rules and regulations to worry about, AgriWheel is working on low voltage (safe) power.

Q: What size solar panel would we require!
A: This would depend on the specifications and usage per day, it is important to work this out, questions to ask are:
1) How many times per day will the gate operate, especially in the months of December to February.
2) How big and heavy is the gate.
3) Apart from remote control, how is the gate being controlled, some digital keypads and beams will constantly draw power from the battery, even when the gate is dormant.
If you are not sure please contact us for advice, or visit: (www.agriwheel.com/which-agriwheel-kit-is-best-for-me.php) to check on our special automatic kit guide.!!

Q: What size battery would we require!!
A: Please see the above details regarding solar panels, the same thought process is required, you can achieve similar results by having larger batteries and small solar panels or larger solar panels and smaller batteries.

Q: How many times per day during December & January would the gate open per day!
A; This is an important question to ask yourself, even though solar power doesn't need direct sunlight, it does require daylight and in the winter months this daylight is limited to perhaps 5 - 6 hours.

Q: Does Solar Power really work in rainy old Britian!
A: the answer is yes, and you will see sighs of this all around you these days, but you do have to fit the correct size battery and solar panel.

Q: Are you looking to install an automatic gate system yourself!
A: After years of installing the original AgriWheel, we have taken time out to redesign the system suitable for DIY installations, using the lessons hard earned we hope to have made it as simple as possible.

Q: We do not have the time or inclination to install an AgriWheel ourselves!
A: AgriWheel can be installed by any person with decent DIY skills or any existing gate installer, Ultra Secure do have authorized dealers located around the country who would be happy to install the system.

Q: We have pets, is it possible to have the gate open only slightly for pedestrians!
A: Yes, AgriWheel now has a special pedestrian mode of operation.

Q: Apart from remote control operation, how do you want the gate to be operated!
This is a very important question to ask yourself, and a question many people fail to think through when ordering an automatic gate system, as a general rule the home owners would have a remote control, but how will friends, delivery drivers, milkman, postman etc gain access to the gate?, any type of automatic installed becomes more of a hinderance than benifit if you get this wrong.
Perhaps you have a pedestrian manual gate to let them walk through and you only need remote controls, then it is easy, our experience tells us that no one home or business is the same, listed below are some options to help you:
1) Remote controls only.
2) Push buttons, these would open the gate which automatically close behind the visitor.
3) Push uttons & isolating timer, the push button would work in chosen hours, and be isolated after leaving just the remote controls to work.
4) Digital keypad outside, push button inside.
5) Digital keypad eitherside of the gate.
6) Intercom outside, push button inside.
7) Intercom outside, digital keypad inside.
8) Intercom & keypad outside, digital keypad inside.
9) Automatic gate opening & closing at set times during the week.
The list is endless, please contact us for advice.
