Automatic Alarm Dialers are designed to contact home, business owners or keyholders in the event of an alarm being triggered, this could be caused by a fire, water leak, power failures or intruders depending on what they have been connected too.

They are getting more popular every year as they have no running costs like when using expensive monitoring stations which charge a monthly fee for doing the same job.

Some dialers are built into the alarm panels, some are connected to alarm panels via cable.

Some dialers are plugged into telephone extensions, or some can be operated by a mobile GSM signal using a sim card the same as a mobile phone.
It is best to use contract sim cards because if you use a pay as you go sim card and have no activations for 3 - 6 months (depending on network) they can be turned off by the provider.
If you have to use a pay as you go card, it is advisable to do a test run about once per month.
