How Do Driveway Alerts Work? Principally made up of the following two components :

  • Transmitter, now with a brilliant choice of sensors, ranging from traditional PIR's, to old fashion hose across the road, to high tech vehicle sensors and more, you simple choose the type of detector or detectors that to suit your requirements.
  • The transmitters are simply mounted or placed at one or more gateways or entrances, visual or hidden, the instant they are triggered, a signal is transmitted to the receiver.
  • Distance of operation varies greatly between systems on the market, but our Dakota range has an impressive true 900 meter range
  • The transmitters are simply powered by a 9v PP3 battery so the sensors can be fitted anywhere, you can have more than one transmitter using just one receiver, this allows you to cover more than one entrance
  • Receiver, the receivers are mostly plugged into a standard 13 amp 3-pin socket back at the house or office, the built in buzzer will alert you to the presence of a visitor. we do offer a portable pager for the Dakota system
  • You can have more than one receiver, some customers like to have one in the house and one in there office for example
  • We can have up to 4 different chimes on the transmitter allowing you to different between entrances.
  • External sirens, flashing lights, telephone diallers, voice microphones can be attached for additional warning
  • Pagers

The chosen transmitter detects movement there is a pleasant chime given at the receiver, this alerts you to the presence of a visitor, welcome or not, this can also activate a range of bells, sirens, telephone diallers etc
