Parking & Security Posts
Information
Click Pictures throughout the site to look at our range of products.
Ultra Secure offer a range of 'Steel Security Parking Posts & Bollard' to suit a range of wide applications.
Steel parking posts & bollards can offer security for driveways & door entrances or just a simple deterrent from people parking in your valued allocated area or constantly turning around on your drive.
When you talk to any police officer they will tell you that criminals look at 'risk against the potential reward' when deciding where or when to commit a burglary, so by installing effective security posts into risk locations to your property such as drive entrances, garage and factory doors etc, you are greatly reducing the risk.
If you need advice, please contact us.
It is important to choose the best and most suited post to do the job for you.
Choose between a range of affordable removable and fold down security posts & bollards, including a choice of bases to suit the type of ground you are going to install the posts onto.
If you are installing the posts onto tarmac or loose gravel, then you need to use a spigot based security post, which allows you to cement it firmly into the ground.
If you are fitting the parking post onto a good concrete surface, then you need a flat based post, which you secure down with good quality bolts.
We aslo offer better quality fold down security posts, which work the same as the budget posts, but are made from thicker and wider steel, making them stronger. The choice of bases to suit different ground types is the same though.
We then offer a good range of fully telepscopic steel security posts, that are by far the strongest type of posts & bollards used for protecting driveways and entrances, the strength comes from the simple fact that more of the structure is underground than above.
When the posts are not in use, the inner post simply slides easliy into the ground leaving a totally flush finish, which prevents any chance of damage to the underneath of a low car etc, and with the fact that it is far more aesthetically pleasing to the eye when not in use.
We also supply a unique Removable Parking Post with an attached Cable Siren Lock to help protect items such as Caravans & Quad Bikes.

What Type Of Post or Bollard Suits Our Requirements!!
There are three basic types of parking posts & bollards:
1) Removable, these posts are locked into place when they are being used, and removed and stored (normally in a garage or car boot). They are in general easy to fit, the benefit is that there is not much or nothing left on the ground when not being used, this can be seen as an advantage if you have a low car, a drive or entrance with a ridge, children or elderly persons walking past, the down side is that you have to store the removed post somewhere.
2) Fold Down, these posts are locked into the upright position when being used, and folded flat on the floor when not being used, these are also generally easy to fit. The biggest benifits are that when you do not need them you just lay them flat on the floor, you don't have to worry about where to store them, the down side is that there is a post on the floor that could potentially be driven or tripped over.
3) Fully Telescopic, these are by far the best post for security & strength and the most aesthetically pleasing to the eye & safe when not in use. The only down side to this type of post or bollard is that they are hard to install, and you have to make sure there are no underground services.
Can We Install The Posts Ourselves!!
There are three basic types of installation when installing parking posts:
1) Bolt Down, this method is simply fixing the post onto your concrete floor using four suitable bolts & plugs, provided you have a drill, drill piece and suitable bolts this can be done very easily.
2) Short Spigot: this type of post has a small spigot of approximately 300mm in length, it requires a small hloe to be dug in the ground of about 300mm cube, then backfilled with cement, if you have the tools to dig this small hole and the means to mix cement or (post mix) it is an easy job to do.
3) Fully Telescopic: this requires a deep narrow hole being dug, the approximate size would be 700- 750 deep by 300mm wide, then backfilled with firm cement. You need the correct tools, strength and time to do this, often installed by builders, DIY persons or fencers for our customers.
