Easy to install using simple dip-switches inside both the digital keypad and receiver.

Following years of installing automatic gate systems, we noticed a requirement on certain installations for Digital Keypads that didn't need cables going back to the control panel or didn't draw power from the control board.

The need for no cables was usually because it was very expensive in time and cable during the installation, or aesthetically undesirable.

Most Digital Keypads draw milliamps constantly 24 hours every day of the year, this naturally draws power from control panels operating automatic electric gate systems, automatic electric barriers, access control systems which isn't a problem if the power supply is constant and available, but if you are using solar or wind power this fact is very important.

This Digital keypad is most suited when used with systems that operate using solar & wind power, the automatic electric gate will be running from a battery, this battery will be re-charged by the solar panel during day light hours, or wind power when the wind is strong enough to turn the wind turbine blades, therefore a digital keypad drawing a small amount of power 24 hours every day can be damaging to the battery.

This Digital keypad has a stainless steel faceplate, holds up to 60 individual user codes.

If the power supply is not the problem, but getting cables back to the control panel is, the Digital keypad can be powered by a local 12v DC supply whilst still using the radio transmission back to the receiver.

The K - Digital Keypad also has a hard wired output for switching gates, barries, doors and access control, the output is one normally open contact going to ground.
