Our popular Vehicle Detecting Entry Probe System,, comes supplies with 37 meters of cable between the control box and probe.
Simply lay the probe alongside the road underneath a grass verge, laid inside a thick hedge, under gravel, and run the attached cable back into the office, garage etc.
Plug the system into a standard 13-amp wall socket, turn the system on and you are operational.
When you get a visitor, 'Welcome or Not', you get a whistle and usable output for attaching sirens or lights.
There is a set of contacts to connect the two wires from the probe, as well as a set of 12-volt DC (500mA max) contacts. The voltage output can be used to operate sirens, bells, or a light timer. Everything is color coded and labeled for easy reference. The whistle and the voltage output are adjustable for 2, 4 or 8 seconds. The control box can run up to three probes, and has a sensitivity control so that it can be custom tuned to each application.
We do not recommend splicing the wire if it can be avoided, but if you do need to splice, make sure it is a water-tight splice.
