Untill recently Wireless CCTV was of poor quality, very bad working range and very unsecure (it was not uncommon for neighbours to pick up images from each other).
They were also prone to interfering with or being affected with wireless broadband networks as they both work on 2.4GHz.

More and more people are starting to want to have access to the CCTV at their home and business from other computers & mobile phones, although a lot of systems can do this it is normally more complicated than people tell you (unless you or a friend have good understanding of routers, port forwarding etc etc).

Our new USB Wireless CCTV System can very easily be set to send emails to you, and is quite user friendly in getting to view from other locations, listed below is a very brief overview of what you need to do to view the system fromother PC's:

1) Set yourself up to one of the Free services that allow you to log into a computer at the chosen locations (we use www.logmein.com) but there are countless other services.
You can simple log into the PC that has the camera connected to it, and fully operate the complete system.

2) Port Forwarding, set your router to allow 7788 & 8080 access from the system (it is advisable that you or someone else has basic understanding of your router for this).

Rolling or Fixed IP Address;
Most people have a rolling external IP Address, if you do you may wish to set up an account with another Free service that tracks this rolling IP Number and does all the work for you (we have an account set up with 'dyndns.org', but their are many more out their available as a fully Free Service or paid service if you prefer).
