The Dakota 3000E Wireless Driveway Alarm has a wide selection of Detectors, Receivers & Accessories (allowing you to build a system to meet your own specific needs). Multiple detectors and receivers can be used at any one time if required.

Detectors:
The various type of Detectors are all powered by standard batteries that typically last for a year or so (depending on usage) and have different uses for different applications, they all have the impressive 900 metre wireless transmission range, the most popular are listed below:

WMT-3000E: External PIR (passive infrared detector) has a one sided (no reflector required) narrow shaped beam with a 20 metre detection range & 900 metre transmission range (adjustable) which will detect people and most vehicles (the most popular).

WPT-3000E: External Vehicle Probe which only picks up moving steel, ideal for locations with a large animals present.

IR-3000E: Internal & Sheltered Outdoor PIR: Wide angle detection, ideal for over doors, in large outbuildings etc.

Receivers:
There are 2 x Receivers available, both can be used individually or together:

WR-3000E: 4 - Channel Receiver with 4 dry relay outputs, a 12v dc output, adjustable volume, ON/OFF switch, powered by a plug in transformer (it can work with as many detectors as you need, there is no limit).

PR-3000 (replaced by PR-2500): 4 Channel Portable Pager with a handy belt clip, visual, audio and vibration alert modes, history log recording, needs charging approximately once per week.

Accessories:
There are multiple Alarm Accessories including:

Sirens

  • Wireless.
  • Wired.
  • Buzzers.
  • Flashing Lights.

D.T.R

As previously stated, the best solution for deciding on which Detectors, Receivers & Accessories are required is to split the process up into the three main areas (D.T.R):

D = Detection.
T = Transmission.
R = Reception.

Detection:

  • How many locations do you need to protect ?
  • Are the locations outside or inside (or both) ?
  • How wide is each detection area ?
  • Would you need to gain access through any of these protected locations when arriving back at the property ?
  • Is there activity from large animals at any of these locations (deer, boar, cattle etc) ?

Transmission:

  • How far away from the location of the receiver would the furthest detector be (in metres) ?
  • How many (and what type) of obstructions would there be between the two locations?

Reception (the most important part):

  • In the event of any activation from a detector, what do you want to happen, options are numerous, some examples listed below?
    • Chime from a single receiver.
    • Chime from multiple receivers.
    • A portable pager being activated.
    • A portable pager and internal receiver chiming.
    • Internal siren (short or long time duration).
    • Internal siren from one receiver, chime from second receiver (different locations).
    • External siren and chime inside.
    • External & internal siren (what time duration).
    • Internal chime and external flashing light.
    • Sending a text message to the key holders.
    • Calling the key holders or guarding company with a pre-recorded personal message.
    • Text message plus triggering external sirens.

Following this thought pattern will let you come to a conclusion on how you want a system to work, then it is just the case of putting the right parts together, if you need help in choosing then please contact us, the information you have already gathered will be vital for us to give you our best  advice.
