Mobile Caravans are also at risk, both while being parked on a camp site and whilst in storage on your drive or in a dedicated storage facility.

Boats by their nature are often moored in remote locations where thieves can see a long way into the distance ensuring they are not disturbed, it only takes one or two lookouts in place whilst a third party has all the time in the world to force entry and have a good look around, passing Boats wouldn't have a clue. If you have a Boat with a canopy it is so easy to hide inside these whilst you force a door open.

They can also be just as vulnerable when they are moored in their personal moorings in Marina's, as they can be left for many weeks without even being checked, so a theft could go undetected for weeks if not months. Marina's can be busy places in the summer, but can be very isolated during winter.

You may even have staff from the Marina's carrying out daily checks, but they would be more checking the ropes etc rather than noticing a forced door on the stern of a boat hidden by a canopy. 

With many people now actually living on their Boat, it means all types of valuables are kept on board (both in monetary & sentimental value), often with no security at all. Even if you have no valuables on board, the intruder may be causing all types of damage for some food or drink.

Alternative Security Products:

We have some alternative Security Devices which can be used on their own or in conjunction with an Alarm to help protect your Caravan or Park Home, these include:

  • Security Posts & Bollards (these can be fitted in front of a Caravan).
  • Heavy Duty Ground Anchors (these can be attached to the chassis of a Caravan using good quality chain & padlocks).
  • IP Cameras (for caravans parked next to your house, these can be fitted onto the wall of the house & programmed to email your mobile phone if movement is detected, this would allow you to log in & view the scene, and to start recording if required.
  • Water Alarms (to hopefully provide early warning of a possible Flood).

Our current best selling Alarm is the GSM UltraPIR, these can be powered by battery (part number 007-0360) or mains powered (part number 007-0700) and will contact you by Telephone if triggered, they can be also be used with additional Wireless Sensors & Sirens.
